Ethylene prices surge in Southeast Asia; dip in US

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1650/ton to US$ 1655/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were offered at US$ 1635/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1655/ton to US$ 1660/ton.
 
PTA prices plunged down in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1185/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1185/ton to US$ 1190/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8800/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1385/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1265/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 64.00 cents/pound to 64.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were unchanged in European international and domestic markets, and were quoted at US$ 1440/ton and € 1140/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices went down and were assessed at US$ 1170/ton. In China market, MEG prices plunged down in the range of US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices went down and were offered in the range of RMB 8700/ton to RMB 8750/ton. 
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices continued to be steady in the range of US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1620/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1600/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were in the range of US$ 1540/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices were stable at RMB 11300/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1450/ton to US$ 1490/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were unchanged in the range of RMB 11100/ton to RMB 11150/ton.
 
PSF prices increased in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1700/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling offers were quoted at US$ 1600/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 11675/ton to RMB 11725/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were offered at RMB 11725/ton, RMB 12950/ton and RMB 12100/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY surged and were quoted at US$ 1620/ton, US$ 1780/ton and US$ 1665/ton, respectively.
