Zenitex wins Gujarat enviro award for third time running

This is a unique hat-trick so far for any Gujarat based industry. The award was presented to Mr Desai by Chief Minister Narendra Modi at the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2013’ held at Gandhinagar on 12th January.

Mr Desai has also signed a MoU with the Government of Gujarat at the Summit to provide entrepreneurial training to 600 ITI students.

Touched by the modesty of Viral Desai, the Mayor of Brampton (Canada), the President of Board of Investment (Thailand) and Consul General of Poland had an interaction with him on the possible bilateral trade and business that could be done between the two countries.

Mr Desai has recently won the prestigious ‘National Energy Conservation Award’ from the President Pranab Mukherjee at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi in December 2012. Coincidently, this is the second time he has won this award too. Earlier in 2011, he had received this award from the then Union Minister of Power Sushil Kumar Shinde.

Looking at the inclination of Viral Desai towards social work and creating a benchmark in the Indian Textile Industry, the Government of Gujarat has given him the tag of ‘True Transformational Leader’ at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit 2013.
