PX & PSF prices rise in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices surged in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1575/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1555/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market went up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1575/ton.
 
PTA prices remained unchanged in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices stayed steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1120/ton to US$ 1125/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1130/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market surged and were offered in the range of US$ 1125/ton to US$ 1130/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were quoted in the range of RMB 8125/ton to RMB 8175/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were steady at US$ 1355/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 63.00 cents/pound to 63.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international and in domestic market, and were offered at US$ 1525/ton and € 1175/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained unchanged in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were quoted at US$ 1055/ton. In China market, MEG prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1050/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 800/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1570/ton to US$ 1600/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1560/ton to US$ 1590/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1550/ton to US$ 1580/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged at RMB 10850/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of RMB 10500/ton to RMB 10550/ton.
 
PSF prices surged in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1620/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1520/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 11125/ton to RMB 11175/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained steady and were assessed at RMB 11325/ton, RMB 12725/ton, and RMB 11650/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY surged and were assessed at US$ 1560/ton, US$ 1750/ton, and US$ 1595/ton, respectively.
