Asian PX, PTA & MEG trends dip, ethylene stays steady

Paraxylene (PX) prices went down in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1505/ton to US$ 1510/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were assessed at US$ 1485/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market declined and was offered in the range of US$ 1530/ton to US$ 1535/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1095/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 1105/ton. PTA imported from Taiwanese market plunged down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1115/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went down and were assessed in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 7975/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices stayed steady in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1195/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of 65.00 cents/pound to 65.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained unchanged in the European international market and in the domestic market, and were quoted at US$ 1490/ton and € 1145/ton, respectively.      
 
MEG prices declined in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG was offered at US$ 1030/ton. In Chinese international market, MEG prices went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were offered in the range of RMB 7700/ton to RMB 7750/ton. 
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1540/ton. Some deals were discussed at around US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained unchanged at RMB 10500/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were inert in the range of RMB 10300/ton to RMB 10350/ton.
 
PSF prices were steady in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1515/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 10400/ton to RMB 10450/ton.
 
In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY and DTY prices went down and were assessed at RMB 10950/ton and RMB 12500/ton, respectively while FDY prices remained unchanged at RMB 11350/ton. In export market, offers for POY and DTY declined and were quoted at US$ 1505/ton, US$ 1715/ton, respectively while FDY prices were steady at US$ 1550/ton.
