PX, PTA & MEG prices slip in Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1375/ton. PX imported from Taiwanese market moved down and was assessed in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton.
 
PTA prices too followed a downward trend in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices were offered in the range of US$ 1040/ton to US$ 1045/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were assessed at US$ 1040/ton. 
 
PTA imported from Taiwanese market decreased and was quoted in the range of US$ 1040/ton to US$ 1045/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices inched up and were assessed in the range of RMB 7725/ton to RMB 7775/ton.   
 
Ethylene prices showed a mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were offered in the range of US$ 1355/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed up at US$ 1220/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were offered in the range of 61.50 cents/pound to 62.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices went down in the European international market and in the domestic market, and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton and € 1095/ton, respectively.      
 
MEG prices followed a downward trend in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 985/ton. In Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices moved down and were assessed in the range of RMB 7300/ton to RMB 7350/ton.
 
In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices were stable in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1550/ton. Some deals were discussed at around US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1530/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers were between US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices went down and were offered at RMB 10100/ton.
 
In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices went down in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1280/ton to US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were decrease in the range of RMB 9425/ton to RMB 9475/ton.
 
PSF prices followed a downward trend in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were offered at US$ 1460/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went down and were assessed in the range of RMB 10150/ton to RMB 10200/ton.
 
In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices remained stable and were assessed at RMB 10500/ton, RMB 12200/ton, and RMB 10950/ton, respectively. In export market, offers for POYand DTY remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1425/ton, US$ 1655/ton, while offers for FDY went up and was quoted at US$ 1480/ton, respectively.
