Ethylene prices decline in European international markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In S E Asian region, PX prices rose and were assessed in the range of US$ 1470/ton to US$ 1475/ton. In F E Asian market, PX prices were quoted at US$ 1450/ton. Prices of PX imported from Taiwanese market remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton.

PTA prices moved up in the Asian region. In S E Asian market, PTA prices increased in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In F E Asian market, PTA prices were offered at US$ 1030/ton. Prices of PTA imported from Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1010/ton to US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices were assessed in the range of RMB 7725/ton to RMB 7775/ton.

Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1120/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were offered in the range of 60.00 cents/pound to 60.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices decreased in the European international market to US$ 1240/ton, while they stayed stable in the domestic market at € 1005/ton.

MEG prices showed mixed trend in Asia. In S E Asian region, MEG prices were offered at US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices inched up and were offered in the range of RMB 7325/ton to RMB 7375/ton.

In S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1440/ton to US$ 1490/ton and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1430/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In F E Asian market, selling offers stayed unchanged between US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were quoted at RMB 10050/ton.

In Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In Indian market, FOB based prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1330/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.

PSF prices increased in Asian markets. In F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1485/ton. In S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1385/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices moved up and were offered in the range of RMB 10225/ton to RMB 10275/ton.

In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, and FDY increased to RMB 10650/ton and RMB 11200/ton respectively, while prices of DTY remained stable at RMB 12250/ton. In export market, offers for POY and FDY surged and were offered at US$ 1460/ton and US$ 1530/ton respectively, while prices of DTY remained stable at US$ 1675/ton.
