MEGlobal, which manufactures, supplies and markets ethylene glycol (EG), has announced its Asian Contract Price (ACP) for monoethylene glycol (MEG) arrivals in August 2013.

The company has announced its August ACP at US$ 1,140 per ton (CFR main Asian ports), which is US$ 40 up from US$ 1,100 per ton ACP in July.

According to MEGlobal, the August 2013 ACP reflects the short term supply and demand situation in the Asian market.

Established in 2004, MEGlobal is a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company of the United States, and Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait.

The company manufactures more than 1 million tons of EG per year at its three manufacturing plants in Alberta, Canada. In addition, MEGlobal markets in excess of 3.5 million tons from its world-leading supply partners.
