LFW names fashion designers for international fashion events

Ten designers have been selected to participate and present their collections at various international fashion events across the world.
Designer Sabyasachi has been selected to participate in Olympus Fashion Week at New York, while Manish Malhotra, Priyadarshini Rao and Surily Goel will participate in Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles in October this year.
Three designers, Nandita Mahtani, Sonam Dubal and Narendra Kumar Ahmed have been selected for the Mercedes-Benz Australian Fashion Week.
Performance of designers during Lakme Fashion Week was outstanding as each collection deserved to go international, viewed Fern Mallis, Executive Director and Vice President of the International Management Group (IMG).
Mallis also said that this time there would be unprecedented presence of Indian designers in global market.
Anil Chopra, Vice President, Lakme Lever, said that aim of Lakme Fashion Week was to bring India to the fore in global fashion world.
