Nigeria’s Laos-based fast growing label Owambe Clothings would be organizing a fashion show to promote indigenous fabrics and designs.

At the forthcoming catwalk event titled ‘100 Models, One Fashion Show, One Label’, more than 100 apparels, made from indigenous Nigerian fabrics, will be showcased.

Being organized with a primary aim to promote the country’s traditional fabrics, the unique event would witness nearly 100 models displaying garments on the ramp.

Slated to take place on December 15, 2013, in the country’s capital city of Lagos, the show will emphasise on the versatility of high-quality Nigeria made textiles, such as Adire, Aso-Oke and Ankara, that can be used in a variety of clothing for different purposes.

Created by an extremely talented bunch of indigenous designers and tailors, the event will feature an array of colourful designs and patterns in corporatewear, casualwear, eveningwear, uniforms and other creative ensembles.

In a bid to revive the Nigerian culture and serve as a platform for cultural exchange, the soiree will be attended by business tycoons, government representatives, industry leaders, mentors, modelling agencies and other stakeholders from different sectors of the economy.

Owambe Clothings is Nigeria’s leading traditional cloth manufacturing company registered with and supported by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
