As well as rolling out a string of exciting new products that are expected to bring the performance of fabrics and garments to new heights in the China and global markets, INVISTA has unveiled the ingredients of its latest recipe for success – innovation, collaboration and speed – to audiences at China’s two most important industry events. They are Shanghai Intertextile Apparel (21-24 October) and Shanghai Interfiliere (22-23 October).
“In the highly competitive global marketplace, the challenge for the apparel industry is to exploit growth opportunities through well-differentiated offerings in a sustainable way. That’s where INVISTA can play a wider role. We offer the technologies, consumer insights and collaborative business models that can genuinely help leading mills, brand owners and retailers to capture these opportunities quickly and create value for customers,” said Julien Born, Executive Vice President for INVISTA Apparel.
Innovation
At both shows, INVISTA is again demonstrating its ability to develop innovative new fiber technologies that can transform style, function and open up valuable new opportunities across the board.
As well as highlighting the potential of performance denim – which takes denim to previously unexplored market niches using LYCRA dual fabric and TOUGH MAXä LYCRA fabric – INVISTA is demonstrating at Shanghai Intertextile its newest temperature-beating solutions. They include new COOLMAX AIR fabric designed to help wearers handle the heat and THERMOLITE PRO insulation to combat the cold.
In fact, INVISTA’s newly acquired product – THERMOCOOL fabric – does both at the same time thanks to its unique Duoregulation technology. THERMOCOOL fabric is designed to expand the body’s comfort zone through smart fiber cross-sections, adapting to the wearer’s needs whether conditions are hot, cold or constantly changing.
At Shanghai Interfiliere where INVIST is showing off a number of developments designed to keep apparels interesting close to the body and comfortable in the swimming pool. The focus is on the latest, developments in the LYCRA BEAUTY fabric range which now offers stretch and shaping capabilities in with cotton and even lace – ideal for designer intimate apparel.
Collaboration
According to Born, “INVISTA see Intertextile and Interfiliere as platforms to inspire creativity and follow up new specification opportunities”. INVISTA is also using the shows to strengthen value-chain relationships through unique business matching services, to connect fabric suppliers with targeted domestic or overseas buyers who are looking for qualified fabrics made with LYCRA fiber.
