PTA prices plunge in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PX prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed at US$ 1385/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1405/ton to US$ 1410/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the Southeast Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Far East Asian market, PTA prices were quoted at US$ 985/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dipped and were quoted in the range of RMB 7225/ton to RMB 7275/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1410/ton to US$ 1415/ton. In the Far East Asian region, Ethylene prices were quoted at US$ 1300/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of 53.00 cents/pound to 53.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices dipped in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1205/ton and € 970/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the Southeast Asian region, MEG prices declined and were assessed at US$ 1010/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of RMB 7325/ton to RMB 7375/ton.
 
In the Southeast Asian region, BG PET chip prices remained stable in the range of US$ US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed at around US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the Far East Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET chip prices declined and were assessed at RMB 9525/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET chip prices maintained a steady trend and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices remained stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET chip prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9175/ton to RMB 9225/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the Far East Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1505/ton. In the Southeast Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1405/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declinedand were assessed in the range of RMB 9750/ton to RMB 9800/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY decreased and were assessed at RMB 10050/ton, RMB 11800/ton, and RMB 10075/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY plunged and were quoted at US$ 1400/ton, US$ 1645/ton, and US$ 1390/ton, respectively.
