SGCCI's 'Fiber to Fashion 2013' expo gets underway

The fifth enhanced edition of ‘Fiber to Fashion 2013’, an international textile expo providing a single platform for fiber, fabric and fashion manufacturers, traders and exporters, began on December 7, 2013, in India’s textile hub of Surat.

Mr. Prabhakaran, Joint Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, was the Chief Guest at the three-day expo, while the Guest of Honor included Mr. Rakesh Gaur, President (Polyester Sector), Reliance Industries, Mr. Rajiv Gopal, CMO, Grasim Industries, and Mr. Arun Jariawala, Chairman, Federation of Indian Art Silk Weaving Industry (FIASWI).

The expo is an exclusive rostrum for brand promotion, networking and business opportunity for national and international textile industries to show their visibility to the entire textile fraternity. It encourages the best innovative and creative industries to create a greater impact and generate awareness among the highly focused audience.

The latest edition of the exhibition has a total of 120 participants showcasing their products, with buyers from foreign countries like Pakistan, China and Namibia.

The expo, being organized by the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI), is expected to be visited by more than 15,000 people, and would provide an opportunity for exhibitors to establish their brand name and to set-up concrete base at Surat.
