The exports of textile and apparel from China continued to post a double-digit growth in November 2013, registering US$ 24.46 billion, showing a rise of 16.6 percent year-on-year, according to the data released by the General Administration of Customs.

Of this, exports of textiles, including yarn and fabric, recorded US4 9.46 billion, achieving an increase of 16.7 percent year-on-year, while apparel exports grew at 16.6 percent year-on-year to US$ 15 billion.

From January to November 2013, China’s overall textile and clothing exports stood at US$ 258 billion, growing at 11.8 percent year-on-year. While textile exports increased at 11.5 percent year-on-year to US$ 97.21 billion, garment exports rose by 12 percent year-on-year to US$ 160.79 billion.

At present, the economies of major developed countries have started showing results of policy stimulus measures, which will speed up the recovery of the world economy. Moreover, the Chinese economy is in the short-term adjustment phase, with fundamentals remaining steady, and both urban and rural incomes maintaining steady growth.

Hence, the year 2014 is likely to be beneficial to the development of the Chinese economy as well as its textile industry.
