PX prices decrease in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1420/ton to US$ 1425/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market dipped and were quoted in the range of US$ 1425/ton to US$ 1430/ton.
 
In the S E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were assessed at US$ 1000/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 7325/ton to RMB 7375/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1465/ton to US$ 1470/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices were assessed at US$ 1385/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 58.00 cents/pound to 58.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1260/ton and € 980/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1030/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1030/ton to US$ 1035/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 7525/ton to RMB 7550/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chip prices maintained a steady trend in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged at US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1350/ton and US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chip prices declined and were assessed at RMB 9450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chip prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chip prices plunged and were quoted in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
 
PSF prices remained unchanged in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 9825/ton to RMB 9875/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY declined by RMB 9800/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained unchanged and were assessed at RMB 11500/ton and RMB 10450/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY plunged and were quoted at US$ 1370/ton, while DTY and FDY prices remained stable at US$ 1615/ton and US$ 1455/ton, respectively.
