MEG & PTA prices increase in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1325/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market stayed steady in the range of US$ 1345/ton to US$ 1350/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 965/ton to US$ 970/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices surged and were quoted at US$ 965/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 955/ton to US$ 960/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 6775/ton to RMB 6825/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable in the range of US$ 1480/ton to US$ 1485/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept unchanged at US$ 1480/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices declined in the European international and as well as in the domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1335/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG price surged and was assessed at US$ 1015/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 7310/ton to RMB 7360/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips prices kept unchanged in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1370/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1390/ton, while talked prices were quoted between US$ 1340/ton and US$ 1370/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted at RMB 9100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1180/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices were steady in the range of RMB 9000/ton to RMB 9050/ton.
 
PSF prices declined in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$1515/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1415/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased and were quoted in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices kept unchanged and were quoted at RMB 9650/ton, RMB 11500/ton and RMB 10350/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY increased marginally to US$ 1365/ton, US$ 1615/ton, and US$ 1450/ton, respectively.
