PTA prices surge in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1295/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1290/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market remained unchanged and were assessed in the range of US$ 1305/ton to US$ 1310/ton.
 
PTA prices surged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA price jumped and were assessed at US$ 935/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 925/ton to US$ 930/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range of RMB 6540/ton to RMB 6580/ton.
 
Ethylene prices remained stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted in the range off US$ 1395/ton to US$ 1400/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices surged and were quoted in the range of 51.00 cents/pound to 51.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained stable in the European international as well as domestic market and were quoted at US$ 1215/ton and € 940/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG price plunged and were quoted at US$ 940/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 6700/ton to RMB 6750/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, BG PET Chips remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1340/ton, and some deals were discussed in the range of US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers were quoted at US$ US$ 1320/ton to US$ 1360/ton, while talked prices were between US$ 1310/ton to US$ 1350/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices maintained a steady trend and were assessed in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1240/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 8500/ton to RMB 8550/ton.
 
PSF prices maintained a steady trend in Asian markets. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were assessed at US$ 1510/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 9300/ton to RMB 9350/ton.
 
In Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were quoted at RMB 9375/ton, RMB 11250/ton and RMB 9900/ton, respectively. In the export market, prices of POY, DTY, and FDY remained unchanged and were assessed at US$ 1300/ton, US$ 1565/ton, and US$ 1365/ton, respectively.
