PX, PTA & MEG prices decline in Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1205/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1215/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted at US$ 885/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices fell and were offered in the range of RMB 6150/ton to RMB 6200/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 1370/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of 53.50 cents/pound to 54.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1170/ton and € 865/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices inched down in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 930/ton to US$ 935/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 6750/ton to RMB 6800/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers stayed steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8750/ton to RMB 8775/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1210/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 8300/ton to RMB 8350/ton.
 
PSF prices remained stable in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1480/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept steady in the range of RMB 8800/ton to RMB 8850/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY were stable at RMB 9350/ton and RMB 9675/ton, while DTY prices decreased to RMB 10900/ton. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY declined to US$ 1260/ton, US$ 1470/ton, and US$ 1295/ton, respectively.
