Polyester POY & FDY prices fall in Chinese market

Paraxylene (PX) prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined marginally and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1180/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices fell and were offered in the range of US$ 870/ton to US$ 875/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices dropped marginally and were offered at US$ 865/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 865/ton to US$ 870/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 5975/ton to RMB 6025/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices were steady in the range of 56.50 cents/pound to 57.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1215/ton and € 885/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices dropped in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 895/ton to US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept unchanged in the range of RMB 6575/ton to RMB 6625/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were offered in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept unchanged and were assessed in the range of RMB 8200/ton to RMB 8250/ton.
 
PSF prices increased marginally in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were assessed at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 8650/ton to RMB 8700/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY declined to RMB 9025/ton and RMB 9400/ton, while DTY prices remained steady at RMB 10850/ton. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY declined to US$ 1210/ton, US$ 1460/ton, and US$ 1255/ton, respectively.
