PTA prices decline in Far East & Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1175/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices rose and were assessed at US$ 1150/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market plunged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1170/ton.
 
PTA prices continued to decline in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered in the range of US$ 860/ton to US$ 865/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were assessed at US$ 855/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market fell and were quoted in the range of US$ 855/ton to US$ 860/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 5975/ton to RMB 6025/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 1460/ton to US$ 1465/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were assessed at US$ 1380/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices dropped and were quoted in the range of 55.50 cents/pound to 56.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international market at US$ 1215/ton, while they declined in the European domestic market to € 880/ton.
 
MEG prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices dropped and were offered at US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased and were assessed in the range of RMB 6550/ton to RMB 6600/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1160/ton to US$ 1200/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8200/ton to RMB 8250/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices were quoted at US$ 1410/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices were offered at US$ 1310/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept unchanged in the range of RMB 8650/ton to RMB 8700/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, Polyester POY, DTY and FDY prices declined and were offered at RMB 8900/ton, RMB 10720/ton and RMB 9325/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY, and FDY declined to US$ 1190/ton, US$ 1440/ton, and US$ 1240/ton, respectively.
