On May 21st in Paris, representatives of the French companies listed in the 2013 top 100 global innovators from Thomson Reuters received the prize from Basil Moftah, CEO of Thomson Reuters.

Christian Collette, Vice President Research and Development received the award for Arkema, the only European chemistry company present in this classification.

Arkema was honored along with 8 other major industrial Groups and 3 French research organizations, which places France in the third rank of the most innovative countries, after United-Stated and Japan.

Christian Collette welcomed this new recognition with a speech, “For the third consecutive year, Arkema is ranked among the 100 most innovative companies from all sectors. We can be proud of this award which honors all the 1 200 persons involved in R&D, administrative personnel, technicians, patent engineers and research engineers.

"It is above all their work and their perseverance in the effort that are rewarded. For Arkema, still young company, this prize brings fame and a visibility at a global level. Arkema appears to the eyes of our partners as an innovative company on which they can lean to lead their new projects”.

The Top 100 Global Innovators program identifies the companies and research structures that are the most active in terms of innovation. The selection is based on four criteria: the success rate of patent applications, the international scope of the patent portfolio, the influence of the patent in terms of the number of citations in the professional literature and the number of patents.
