MEG prices fall in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices plunged and were offered in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices decreased and were quoted at US$ 1350/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1385/ton.
 
PTA prices dipped in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were offered in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1020/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices inched down and were quoted at US$ 995/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices dropped and were assessed in the range of RMB 7450/ton to RMB 7500/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept steady and were assessed in the range of US$ 1455/ton to US$ 1460/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1460/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices inched up and were assessed in the range of 55.00 cents/pound to 55.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept steady in the European international market at US$ 1320/ton, and declined in domestic market to € 1050/ton.
 
MEG prices plunged in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices fell and were assessed in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained stable in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9625/ton to RMB 9675/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9500/ton to RMB 9550/ton.
 
PSF prices kept steady in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept unchanged at US$ 1460/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices stayed steady at US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 10050/ton to RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY declined to RMB 10350/ton, while DTY and FDY prices increased to RMB 11725/ton and RMB 11650/ton. In the export market, offers for POY dropped to US$ 1415/ton, whereas DTY and FDY prices rose to US$ 1600/ton and US$ 1445/ton.
