PTA & Ethylene prices decline in Southeast Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices remained steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1355/ton to US$ 1360/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices kept unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1340/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1375/ton.
 
PTA prices fell in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1010/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 985/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were assessed in the range of US$ 990/ton to US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were offered in the range of US$ 1435/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained stable and were quoted at US$ 1435/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were assessed in the range of 57.00 cents/pound to 57.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices stayed steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1320/ton and € 1050/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices remained steady in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices were stable at US$ 995/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices inched down and were offered in the range of US$ 985/ton to US$ 990/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained steady in the range of RMB 7350/ton to RMB 7400/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained unaltered in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton, while talked prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1440/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9625/ton to RMB 9675/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1220/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept unchanged at US$ 1460/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained steady at US$ 1360/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 10050/ton to RMB 10100/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY stayed stable at RMB 10350/ton, RMB 11650/ton and RMB 10450/ton respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept stable at US$ 1415/ton, US$ 1590/ton and US$ 1415/ton, respectively.
