Ulsan based Tongsuh ACN plant declares force majeure

In an emergency measure, Tongsuh Petrochemical has shutdown its No.4 Acrylonitrile (ACN) plant on July 8, 2014.
“Bad weather resulted in power failure, due to which we had declare force majeure”, a company official informed fibre2fashion.
“The plant is expected to remain shut for around one week and will restart possibly on July 15,” he added.
Located at Ulsan, South Korea, the plant has a production capacity of 245,000 tons/yr.
