Asian PTA prices slip from sluggish trends this week

Prices of Purified Terephthalic Acid (PTA) showed downward trend in Asia this week as compared to last week ending 5th July, 2014 due to sluggish buying trends in the region.
In F E Asia, prices were in the range of US$ 990-1000/ton last week ending July 5, which went down this week and were assessed at US$ 980-995/ton.
In S E Asia, prices were in the range of US$ 1015-1025/ton last week, vis-à-vis US$ 1005-1020/ton in the current week.
In India, prices were assessed in the range of US$ 1025-1035/ton in the previous, which declined to US$ 1010-1025/ton this week.
In China, prices were spotted at US$ 990-1000/ton last week as compared to US$ 980-995/ton this week.
