In 2008, a Corporate Social Responsibility Department was established within UCE to spearhead various initiatives including for environmental conservation. Ongoing programs include sponsorship of local sports clubs, donations to non-governmental organizations, relationships with high schools and universities, and diverse volunteer initiatives by employees.
