PX, PTA & MEG prices increase in Asian markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices continued to increase in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices surged and were quoted in the range of US$ 1400/ton to US$ 1405/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices increased and were assessed at US$ 1380/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market rose and were offered in the range of US$ 1375/ton to US$ 1380/ton.
 
PTA prices increased in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1030/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices moved up and were quoted at US$ 1005/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined and were offered in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7475/ton to RMB 7525/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1475/ton to US$ 1480/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 1520/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices declined and were quoted in the range of 68.50 cents/pound to 69.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1305/ton and € 1005/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were offered at US$ 1000/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices were up in the range of RMB 7400/ton to RMB 7450/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips remained steady in the range of US$ 1360/ton to US$ 1400/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1370/ton to US$ 1410/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept steady in the range of US$ 1380/ton to US$ 1420/ton, while talked prices were offered in the range of US$ 1390/ton to US$ 1430/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were quoted in the range of RMB 9400/ton to RMB 9450/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 1210/ton to US$ 1220/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1270/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 9150/ton to RMB 9175/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices remained stable at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept steady at US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices remained stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained steady at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11350/ton and RMB 10175/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept steady at US$ 1335/ton, US$ 1555/ton and US$ 1350/ton, respectively.
