European benzene prices down yesterday from Aug 18

European benzene prices were down by US$5 on Thursday from those prevailing on the opening day of the week.
Benzene trends which were spotted at US$ 1415/ton on Monday (Aug 18) slipped by US$ 15/ton on Tuesday (Aug 19) and were assessed at US$ 1400/ton.
On Wednesday (Aug 20) they remained flat from Tuesday at US$ 1400/ton.
However on Thursday (Aug 21), benzene prices showed upward trend in Europe, mainly due to increase in upstream energy prices in the region coupled with bullish benzene prices in Asia.
On Aug 21, benzene prices were assessed at US$ 1410/ton, higher by US$ 10/ton as compared to prices on Wednesday.
