Ethylene prices increase in US; steady in other markets

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 1290/ton to US$ 1295/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices went down and were offered at US$ 1270/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market fell and were assessed in the range of US$ 1300/ton to US$ 1305/ton.
 
PTA prices declined in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices inched down and were quoted in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 980/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market dipped and were assessed in the range of US$ 980/ton to US$ 985/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices kept inert and were offered in the range of RMB 7065/ton to RMB 7115/ton.
 
Ethylene prices maintained steady trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept unchanged and were offered in the range of US$ 1490/ton to US$ 1495/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices kept inert and were assessed at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were offered in the range of 68.00 cents/pound to 68.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices remained steady in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were offered at US$ 1280/ton and € 1000/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices moved down in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were offered at US$ 975/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 975/ton to US$ 980/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices stayed steady in the range of RMB 7150/ton to RMB 7200/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1330/ton to US$ 1370/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained unchanged in the range of US$ 1340/ton to US$ 1380/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1350/ton to US$ 1390/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices remained steady and were offered in the range of RMB 9350/ton to RMB 9400/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1170/ton to US$ 1180/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1200/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 9100/ton to RMB 9150/ton.
 
PSF prices remained steady in the Asian region.  In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept inert at US$ 1420/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices decreased to US$ 1320/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of RMB 9700/ton to RMB 9750/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY remained stable at RMB 9750/ton, RMB 11400/ton and RMB 10400/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY were unchanged at US$ 1340/ton, US$ 1565/ton and US$ 1425/ton, respectively.
