MEG & BG PET Chips prices drop in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept stable and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained steady and were quoted at US$ 1225/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1245/ton.
 
PTA prices went down in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices declined and were quoted in the range of US$ 935/ton to US$ 940/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices plunged and were offered at US$ 915/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 920/ton to US$ 925/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices plunged and were assessed in the range of RMB 6595/ton to RMB 6645/ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices inched up and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500/ton to US$ 1510/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices stayed stable and were quoted at US$ 1500/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices increased and were quoted in the range of 74.50 cents/pound to 75.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept unchanged in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1150/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices plunged in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices declined and were quoted at US$ 930/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices stayed stable and were offered in the range of US$ 940/ton to US$ 945/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices dropped and were assessed in the range of RMB 6690/ton to RMB 67400/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1265/ton to US$ 1305/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1275/ton to US$ 1315/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1285/ton to US$ 1325/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1295/ton to US$ 1335/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices declined and were assessed in the range of RMB 8725/ton to RMB 8775/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1110/ton to US$ 1120/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1130/ton to US$ 1160/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices declined and were offered in the range of RMB 8425/ton to RMB 8475/ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices decreased to US$ 1345/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices fell to US$ 1245/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices declined and were quoted in the range of RMB 9200/ton to RMB 9225/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and FDY dipped to RMB 9450/ton and RMB 9975/ton, respectively, while DTY prices kept inert at RMB 11350/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and FDY declined to US$ 1295/ton and US$ 1360/ton, respectively, whereas DTY prices kept stable at US$ 1560/ton.
