Asian propylene prices down last week from insipid market

Propylene prices went down in Asia towards end of last week ending Sept 19, due to insipid market sentiments coupled with sluggish demand for downstream products and ample product availability in the region.

At the beginning of last week, propylene prices in S E Asia were hovering around US$ 1255/ton which declined US$ 10/ton by the end of the week and were assessed at US$ 1245/ton.

In Korea, prices were assessed around US$ 1315/ton at the beginning of last week, which went down by US$ 15/ton to US$ 1300/ton on Sept 19.

In Japan, prices were at US$ 1285/ton initially and fell to US$ 1260/ton at the end of the week, a decline of US$ 25/ton.
