Ethylene prices drop in Far East Asia; PSF increase

Paraxylene (PX) prices decreased in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices went down and were offered in the range of US$ 1225/ton to US$ 1230/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices declined and were quoted at US$ 1210/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market inched down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1245/ton to US$ 1250/ton.
 
PTA prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 915/ton to US$ 920/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered at US$ 895/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market stayed steady and were quoted in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices remained stable and were offered in the range of RMB 6495/ton to RMB 6545/ton.
 
Ethylene prices moved down in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices declined and were assessed in the range of US$ 1505/ton to US$ 1510/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices dropped and were quoted at US$ 1510/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of 70.50 cents/pound to 71.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept stable in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1120/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices kept stable and were quoted at US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 905/ton to US$ 910/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept stable in the range of RMB 6480/ton to RMB 6530/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers remained steady in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1290/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 8575/ton to RMB 8625/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips’ prices remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1110/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 8250/ton to RMB 8300/ton.
 
PSF prices increased in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices increased to US$ 1310/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices climbed to US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of RMB 8950/ton to RMB 8975/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept stable at RMB 9200/ton, RMB 11250/ton and RMB 9550/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept unchanged at US$ 1255/ton, US$ 1545/ton and US$ 1295/ton, respectively.
