Ethylene prices dip; MEG up in Southeast Asian region

Paraxylene (PX) prices kept stable in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices kept steady and were offered in the range of US$ 1190/ton to US$ 1195/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1175/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were offered in the range of US$ 1205/ton to US$ 1210/ton.
 
PTA prices remained steady in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices kept stable and were quoted in the range of US$ 910/ton to US$ 915/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices kept steady and were offered at US$ 890/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market went down and were quoted in the range of US$ 885/ton to US$ 890/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA price stayed stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 6495/ton to RMB 6545/ton.
 
Ethylene prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices inched down and were assessed in the range of US$ 1500ton to US$ 1505/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1490/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices decreased and were quoted in the range of 66.00 cents/pound to 66.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1120/ton and € 910/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices moved up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices increased and were quoted at US$ 900/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices kept unaltered and were offered in the range of US$ 890/ton to US$ 895/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices remained stable in the range of RMB 6480/ton to RMB 6530/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1230/ton to US$ 1270/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1240/ton to US$ 1280/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1250/ton to US$ 1290/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1260/ton to US$ 1300/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of RMB 8575/ton to RMB 8625/ton.
 
In the Korean market, FG PET Chips’ prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1090/ton to US$ 1110/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices were in the range of US$ 1100/ton to US$ 1140/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices kept stable and were offered in the range of RMB 8250/ton to RMB 8300/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept steady at US$ 1310/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices kept steady at US$ 1210/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept inert and were quoted in the range of RMB 8950/ton to RMB 8975/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept stable at RMB 9200/ton, RMB 11250/ton and RMB 9550/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY kept inert at US$ 1260/ton, while DTY and FDY prices went up to US$ 1550/ton and US$ 1300/ton, respectively.
