Textile Institute announces 2013 Institute Medal awardee

The Governing Council of the Textile Institute, a unique membership organisation for textile professionals and serves textile related industries worldwide, is set to award The Institute Medal of the Textile Institute for Medals and Awards 2013 to Dr. SK Chaudhuri, the founder and managing partner of International Inspection Initiative, an Indian company that specializes in inspection and quality control services for carpets and rugs purchased in India and China.

The prestigious medal will be awarded to Mr. Chaudhuri at the Textile Institute World Conference Awards Dinner in Wuhan, China, on the 5th of November, 2014.

The Institute Medal is the oldest award of the Textile Institute, inaugurated in 1921. The award recognises distinguished service to the textile industry and the Textile Institute and is granted to a member of the Textile Institute.

Headquartered in Manchester, UK, The Textile Institute is an international organization governed by a Council representing members throughout the world. The scope of The Textile Institute covers all the textile industries which include: fibre, yarn and fabric manufacturing; dyeing and finishing; production of knitwear and making-up of clothing; manufacture of carpets, soft furnishings and other household textiles; and the distribution and retailing of textile products to personal and commercial markets.
