Southeast Asian PX, PTA & MEG prices show uptrend

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were quoted at US$ 990/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market inched up and were offered in the range of US$ 995/ton to US$ 1000/ton.
 
PTA prices moved up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 770/ton to US$ 775/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices went up and were offered at US$ 750/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market kept inert and were quoted in the range of US$ 735/ton to US$ 740/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices shot up and were offered in the range of RMB 5285/ton to RMB 5335/ton.
 
Ethylene prices declined in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices plunged and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices dropped and were quoted in the range of 52.50 cents/pound to 53.00 cents/pound. Ethylene prices kept inert in the European international as well as in the domestic markets and were quoted at US$ 1180/ton and € 955/ton, respectively.
 
MEG prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices moved up and were quoted at US$ 840/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 790/ton to US$ 795/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices climbed up and were offered in the range of RMB 6365/ton to RMB 6415/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept stable in the range of US$ 1145/ton to US$ 1185/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1195/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1205/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices kept inert and were assessed in the range of RMB 7775/ton to RMB 7825/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips remained stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices stayed steady and were offered in the range of RMB 7125/ton to RMB 7175/ton.
 
PSF prices kept inert in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices kept unchanged at US$ 1175/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices remained stable at US$ 1075/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices kept unaltered and were quoted in the range of RMB 8050/ton to RMB 8075/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at RMB 8475/ton, RMB 10450/ton and RMB 8600/ton, respectively. In the export market, offers for POY, DTY and FDY kept inert at US$ 1155/ton, US$ 1430/ton and US$ 1155/ton, respectively.
