PX, PTA & MEG prices show uptrend in Far East Asia

Paraxylene (PX) prices went up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, PX prices increased and were offered in the range of US$ 1035/ton to US$ 1040/ton. In the F E Asian market, PX prices surged and were quoted at US$ 1020/ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market went up and were offered in the range of US$ 1000/ton to US$ 1005/ton.
 
PTA prices went up in the Asian region. In the S E Asian market, PTA prices increased and were quoted in the range of US$ 790/ton to US$ 795/ton. In the F E Asian market, PTA prices went up and were offered at US$ 770/ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market inched up and were assessed in the range of US$ 745/ton to US$ 750/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices went up and were offered in the range of RMB 5460/ton to RMB 5510/ton.
 
Ethylene prices kept inert in Asian markets. In the S E Asian market, Ethylene prices kept stable and were assessed in the range of US$ 1255/ton to US$ 1260/ton. In the F E Asian region, Ethylene prices remained unchanged and were quoted at US$ 1220/ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices went down and were quoted in the range of 50.00 cents/pound to 50.50 cents/pound. Ethylene prices moved up in the European international market to US$ 1190/ton, while they declined in the domestic market to € 950/ton.
 
MEG prices shot up in Asian markets. In the S E Asian region, MEG prices went up and were quoted at US$ 860/ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices surged and were assessed in the range of US$ 830/ton to US$ 835/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices kept inert in the range of RMB 6365/ton to RMB 6415/ton.
 
In the S E Asian region, prices of BG PET Chips kept inert in the range of US$ 1145/ton to US$ 1185/ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1155/ton to US$ 1195/ton. In the F E Asian market, selling offers kept stable in the range of US$ 1165/ton to US$ 1205/ton, while talked prices were quoted in the range of US$ 1175/ton to US$ 1215/ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips prices increased and were assessed in the range of RMB 7950/ton to RMB 8000/ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips kept inert and were assessed in the range of US$ 1015/ton to US$ 1055/ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 1025/ton to US$ 1065/ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips prices increased and were offered in the range of RMB 7200/ton to RMB 7250/ton.
 
PSF prices went up in the Asian region. In the F E Asian market, PSF prices increased to US$ 1180/ton. In the S E Asian market, PSF selling prices surged to US$ 1080/ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices went up and were quoted in the range of RMB 8075/ton to RMB 8100/ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY went up to RMB 8600/ton and RMB 10550/ton, respectively, while FDY prices kept inert at RMB 8600/ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY moved up to US$ 1170/ton and US$ 1445/ton, respectively, while FDY prices kept inert at US$ 1155/ton.
