MEG and PSF prices decline in Chinese domestic market

Paraxylene (PX) prices increased in Asian markets. PX prices increased in SE Asia, where they ranged between US$ 885 and 890 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PX prices went up to US$ 870 per ton. Prices of PX imported from the Taiwanese market decreased to a range of US$ 875 to 880 per ton.
 
PTA prices plunged in Asia. SE Asian market witnessed a decrease in PTA prices ranging between US$ 710 to 715 per ton. In the FE Asian market, PTA prices went down to US$ 690 per ton. Prices of PTA imported from the Taiwanese market declined to a range of US$ 680 to 685 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PTA prices increased to a range of RMB 4995 to 5045 per ton.
 
Ethylene prices showed mixed trend in Asian markets. In the SE Asian market, Ethylene prices declined ranging between US$ 1095 to 1100 per ton. In the FE Asian market, Ethylene prices were stable at US$ 1045 per ton. In the US market, Ethylene prices plunged ranging between 41.50 to 42.00 cents per pound. Ethylene prices were stable in the European international market at US$ 1100 per ton, while they decreased to € 890 per ton in the domestic market.
 
MEG prices increased in Asia. In SE Asia, MEG prices went up to US$ 825 per ton. In the Chinese international market, MEG prices decreased and they ranged between US$ 800 and 805 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, MEG prices decreased to a range of RMB 5980 to 6030 per ton.
 
In SE Asia, prices of BG PET Chips declined ranging between US$ 1085 to 1125 per ton, and some deals were concluded in the range of US$ 1095 to 1135 per ton. In the FE Asian market, selling offers decreased and were assessed in the range of US$ 1105 to 1145 per ton, while talked prices hovered in the range of US$ 1115 to 1155 per ton. In the Chinese market, BG PET Chips’ prices declined and were quoted between RMB 7475 and 7525 per ton.
 
In the Korean market, prices of FG PET Chips declined and were offered in the range of US$ 985 to 1015 per ton. In the Indian market, FOB based prices hovered in the range of US$ 995 to 1025 per ton. In the Chinese market, FG PET Chips’ prices declined ranging between RMB 6875 and 6925 per ton.
 
PSF prices plunged in Asia. In the FE Asian market, PSF prices declined to US$ 1145 per ton. In the SE Asian market, PSF selling prices went down to US$ 1045 per ton. In the Chinese domestic market, PSF prices decreased ranging between RMB 7925 and 7950 per ton.
 
In the Chinese domestic market, prices of Polyester POY and DTY were stable at RMB 8200 per ton and RMB 10300 per ton, respectively, while FDY prices declined to RMB 8100 per ton. In the export market, offers for POY and DTY went up to US$ 1100 per ton and US$ 1395 per ton, respectively, while FDY prices declined to US$ 1070 per ton.
