Keds teams up with designer Nanette Lepore for Spring 2007

Since 1916 Keds has represented authenticity, quality and style. Style icons throughout the years have worn their Keds, and today Mischa Barton continues this trend as the spokesmodel for Keds. Keds has a myriad of styles from the classic champion sneaker to vintage inspired distressed slip-ons to ballet flats to pointy toe skimmers to lace-up active mary-janes, sneakers, and mules. Keds is a subsidiary of The Stride Rite Corporation, a company that produces and markets children's, women's, and men's footwear.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, to artist parents, fashion designer Nanette Lepore produced her first couture look at age nine. Annual family road trips on Route 66 instilled in Lepore a free spirit and a taste for travel. After completing her undergraduate studies at Youngstown University, Lepore attended New York City's venerable Fashion Institute of Technology.
