China : Local fashion designer brands go global!

On October 1, 2006, garment designer Xie Feng stepped onto the stage of Paris Fashion Week, offering the world a special Chinese brand Jefen.

Though in the past, domestic designers launched fashion in the form of cultural exchanges in France and the Europe, Xie feng's special publication marked the acceptance of Chinese designers by Paris Fashion Week

On January 16, 2007, men's brand ‘Lilang’ by garment designer Ji Wen Bo became the first Chinese brand to debut at Milan Fashion Week (men's wear).

In February 2007, Xie Feng is expected to appear at Paris Fashion Week again.

Meanwhile, Ma Ke, design director of Chinese clothing brand ‘Exception’, will also present her brand ‘Wuyong’ (no-use’) in Paris. (Expression of ‘exception’ and ‘no-use’ carry special meanings in Chinese Taoism).

In Ma Ke's words, ‘Exception’ is her first child, ‘Wuyong’ is her second child. ‘Wuyong’ will not appear in the domestic market for a short time. In general understanding, 'Exception’ represents garment, while ‘Wuyong’ is a work of art.

Yang Chi-ming men's designer and leisure wear brand ‘Carbene’ is scheduled to enter New York Fashion Week this year.
