After almost a month, manufacturers could take a sigh of relief as cotton prices saw a drop. January remained quite agonizing for the producers as market rates for the cotton oscillated for quite some time.
During this period, prices of this particular commodity demonstrated a rising trend. Cotton prices till January 31, remained somewhere around 3,200 per mound.
According to Karachi Cotton Association (KCA), rates of cotton, since February 1, stood at Rs3,150 per mound.
Fluctuations in cotton prices are creating confusion in the market as well as among the manufacturers. The unstable trend in the international markets is also taking its toll on the domestic scenario.
