According to the statistics received from fixed assets' investment funds, till November 2007, the total investment of Shandong, Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province accounted for nearly 50 percent of the total investment of China textile and clothing industry.
Shandong Province's textile industry investment was 42.5 billion yuan, an increase of 11.28 percent than the same period of 2006. For Jiangsu Province, it's 42 billion yuan, up by 35.37 percent and at Zhejiang, 26.7 billion, up by 30.59 percent.
In recent years, Western and Central Province of China have increased the investment in the textile and clothing industry, taking the growth rates far higher than the national average level. Major investments have come from Anhui, Henan, Hebei and Hunan Provinces with growth rates of more than 50 percent.
The statistics show that Chinese textile and clothing industry is shifting from the inshore regions to the Western and Central regions. It will have a huge effect on Chinese textile industry's structure.
