The ongoing Gujarati handicraft and handloom exhibition at Jawahar Balabhavan, Thiruvananthapuram, which will end tomorrow, is pulling large crowd. The state artisans have displayed an extensive range of products here.
Gujarat is well-known across globe for its colourful craft. The heavily embroided ghagra-choli, tie and dye bed sheets, sarees in block prints or home décor items like puppets, statues in wood and other metals all are highly appreciated.
Fine pieces of jewellary in silver and precious stones, and wide variety of bangles are showcased by craftsmen, along with, nail painting in which beautiful designs are made on paper with the help of nails.
The exhibition has been a success so far, as artisans are having good sale and getting great reviews from the onlookers.
