The 18th International Textile and Garment Equipment and Accessory Expo which commenced on April 9 in Ho Chi Minh City is witnessing participation by as many as 395 domestic and foreign companies.
These enterprises came from over 27 countries and from as far as Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the US, India, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.
This exhibition aimed at introducing a variety of new equipment and accessory products for the Vietnam garment and textile industry.
The four day expo organized by the CP Exhibition Company and VCCI Exhibition Organizing Company of Hong Kong will close tomorrow.
According to the Chairman of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex) in 2007, Vietnam emerged as the ninth largest garment exporter by earning US $7.8 billion from its apparel exports.
Infact, Vietnam ranks third among the garment exporters to the US market. Presently, the country is assaying to export $9.5 billion worth of textile and garment products this year.
