Arkema makes investments to produce transparent polyamides

On this occasion, Arkema announces an investment at its plant in Serquigny (France) in a dedicated line for transparent Polyamides, Rilsan Clear.
Motivated by the strong market demand for the transparent polyamide product line, Rilsan Clear, Arkema is now investing in a dedicated production line.
The Rilsan Clear production line will be located in Serquigny, France, at Arkema's industrial site specialized in the manufacture of high performance specialty polyamides.
MIDO 2008 marks the first anniversary of Arkema's newest high performance transparent polyamide, Rilsan Clear G350. With key benefits for designer eyewear such as freedom of design, comfort, durability and economic gains, Rilsan Clear G350 quickly found its place on the market.
Compared with other solutions, major advantages of Rilsan Clear G350 are reported by our customers : excellent transparency and whiteness, flexibility, and light weight (density below 1, floats on water!).
High elasticity return, remarkable toughness, and excellent chemical resistance are also much appreciated. Additionally to the benefits for end-users, Rilsan Clear G350 offers outstanding processing properties which provide major economic gains.
