With endless increase in oil prices in the global scenario, plus production cutbacks in the major manufacturing facilities in China, India, and some countries in Southeast Asia, propylene prices in the domestic region is experiencing a growing trend this week.
In the past week, domestic propylene markets across the globe started gaining momentum, and prices were shooting up. Reportedly, the tight propylene supply in domestic market as well as continued high international oil prices are the cause for these firm prices.
Propylene prices showed a mixed trend for almost all the importing countries on July 8. Prices quoted for Far Eastern, European region showed a rising trend where as for United States demonstrated a stability in comparison to the last week.

Propylene (polymerization level), FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 950.00-960.00 per metric ton.

Prices in the United States:
Propylene (refining level), FAS Houston, at US cent 77.625-77.875 per lb.
Ethylene, FAS Houston, at US cent 69.375-69.625 per pound.
