Connecticut's top interior designer Kat Burki, announces the launch of the Kat Burki Home collection. The gorgeous new line of home furnishings combines European flair with updated classics.

Ms. Burki's signature collection will launch through a nationwide catalog arriving in mailboxes on August 4th and is currently available online at katburkihome.com.

After first majoring in art with a brief detour to law school where she earned a double major in business and law, Ms. Burki decided to return to art and then followed her passion into design.

She established her business in Southport, CT in 2002 and has quickly garnered an impeccable local presence and reputation.

Deeply committed to a classic and artisanal approach to home design, Ms. Burki decided to realize her own creative vision and apply her unique design aesthetic to a home furnishings brand of her own.

The result is a perfect mix of elegant furniture pieces and casual luxe accessories, infused with a contemporary spirit. "I've always admired the attention to detail in traditional furniture making.

I try to translate these techniques into a new category that is antique in design and silhouette and contemporary in spirit but will be sure to remain a classic," says Ms. Burki.

Each furniture item is handmade and carefully crafted utilizing traditional methods of construction. The oversized Gold Patina Birdcage Chandelier is handmade in France with eight lights that majestically lights up a room with style.

The gold Rams Head Cocktail Table is a piece of art, with impeccable attention to detail whether it's the ram's head or the rich legs and hoofs that make up the table's legs the result is smashing and decidedly chic. The Fabien sconces are silver with bohemian crystals that are sweet and sophisticated all at once.

The upholstery line is customizable from a selection of over 200 finest materials, including Kat Burki's own signature fabrics and prints.

The Berkeley Sofa is decadent in its all over tufting in yellow silk dupioni and yellow bouillon fringe. Place this with the Lucca chairs in calf hairand the combination is truly luxurious.

The Hollywood Headboard and the Half Moon Headboard are quality pieces that promise comfort with style. The upholstery fabrics have been carefully sourced by the designer herself.

Kat Burki Signature To the Trade fabric line will show in September, her fabrics are produced in Italy and Belgium.

After endlessly searching for stylish yet comfortable bedding for her clients, Ms. Burki decided to add this element to her own collection. The result is formal elegance with genuine warmth and comfort.

The "Natsu" bedspread and shams, for example, were fashioned from antique Japanese Kimonos featuring an oriental floral motif on a sea blue background with a light green cotton piping and underside, made in Italy.

Oversized, suede-trimmed cashmere and lamb's wool throws are just as comfortable as you curl up on a sofa and they are as luxury bed blankets.

Turkish bath and spa products consist of the softest and most plush bath towels and hand towels, washcloths and embossed robes inspired by the world's finest hotels.

Also look for Kat Burki's Tuberose candles and soaps for they are sure to be a favorite. The smell is subtle, natural and remarkably pleasant.
