Idemitsu announces maintenance shutdown of ethylene cracker

One of the Idemitsu cracker at Tokuyama, Japan has decided to go for a planned maintenance shutdown for a period of two months starting from early September to early November.
Mr Shuhei Ohshima, Deputy General Manager at Tokuyama Plant of Idemitsu confirmed the information of the planned shutdown to Fibre2fashion and added that, “the ethylene cracker has an annual production capacity of around 600,000 metric tons and is presently working at 100 percent production capacity levels.”
Indemitsu undertakes a maintenance turnaround of its facilities every two years and is expecting to successfully come out of this one with a full production capacity.
