Clariant Chemicals net sales up by 19.7 % in Q3

Clariant Chemicals (India) Limited has reported a Net Sales for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2008 of Rs. 2549 mio. (Rs. 2130 mio for the corresponding period of the previous year) – signifying a growth of 19.7%.
Its Net Profit before tax stood at Rs. 382 mio. for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2008 as against Rs.204 mio (before exceptional items) in the corresponding previous year period – a growth of 87.3%.
The increase in operating profits is attributed to the proactive measures initiated by the Company to combat the rising cost of inputs.
The Company's sales for the nine months ended September 30, 2008 rose to Rs. 7210 mio. (Rs. 6482 mio. in the corresponding previous year period), while the Net Profit before tax in the same period has gone up to Rs. 1021 mio. as compared to Rs. 647 mio. (before exceptional items) in the corresponding previous year period.
