Tobi Garment Steamer takes top honors for Sylmark

The Electronic Retailing Association (ERA) selected the Tobi Garment Steamer as its “Product of the Year” at the 2008 ERA Annual Convention held at the Paris Hotel. Each year, the largest annual gathering of electronic retailing professionals ends with an awards dinner that celebrates the year's best in TV, online, and radio.
This is the night when E-tailers, from all over the world, come out in force to honor the most innovative, informative, and entertaining products, pitches, and industry professionals. (The ERA is the trade association for multi-channel marketing professionals who use the power of direct response to sell goods and services to the public on television, online, and on the radio.)
Accepting the award on behalf of The Sylmark Group were Katie Williams, Craig Shandler, Neil Gordon, and Justin Richards, from Ninth Tentacle. “Our $30 million media campaign has been a huge success; not only in creating demand for the Tobi Garment Steamer, but for igniting an entire product category,” said Katie Williams, Sylmark's Media Vice President. “We will continue that momentum by continuing to expand our distribution at retail.” Earlier in the evening, Sylmark received honors as Jan Mueller was awarded “Best Male Presenter” for his role as spokesperson for the Tobi Garment Steamer in the long-form infomercial produced by Ninth Tentacle.
