Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), creators of the exceptionally comfortable Single and Double Nest hammocks, introduce the 'first of its kind' Insect Shield bug repellent hammock.

ENO Insect Shield Hammocks offer added relaxation in warding off pesky unwanted insects. Teaming up with Buzz Off Insect Shield, LLC and their proven Insect Shield Repellent Technology these 'new' hammocks offer protection from mosquitoes, ticks, flies, and fleas. Even more importantly, this product deters insects that can carry West Nile virus, Lyme disease, malaria and other insect-borne diseases - many of which are on the rise.

“We are extremely excited about this partnership,” says Paul Pinholster, co-founder of Eagles Nest Outfitters. “I believe it's a great opportunity to offer our consumers an even further worry-free state of relaxation in the outdoors.”

Buzz Off Insect Shield LLC was granted U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) registration of its insect-repellent apparel in 2003, with the launch of the first-ever EPA-registered insect-repellent clothing. In 2005, the EPA extended this registration to include products for pets, horses, camping and various outdoor activities.

The odorless insect protection provided by Insect Shield Repellent Gear remains effective for six months of constant exposure to sun and weather. The active ingredient is permethrin, a human-made version of a natural insect repellent found in certain chrysanthemum plants, such as the African Daisy. Permethrin has been successfully used in the United States since 1977, with an excellent safety record. Insect Shield's EPA registration approves use by infants, children of all ages, and women who are pregnant or nursing.

“The ENO team has taken the hammock to a whole new level of comfort and convenience,” says Jason Griffin, Buzz Off Insect Shield executive VP.” “The addition of Insect Shield technology will now enable ENO customers to enjoy the added benefit of insect protection as they pursue camping adventures or simply relax in their backyards.”

In July 2003, Buzz Off Insect Shield, LLC, introduced the first EPA-registered insect-repellent apparel. Insect Shield Repellent Apparel technology provides effective, invisible and odorless protection against mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers, and midges (no-see-ums) through 70 launderings. Insect Shield apparel categories include outdoor, golf, hunting, fishing, and equestrian. The Insect Shield Repellent Gear technology is proven to repel mosquitoes, ticks, flies, and fleas through six months of constant exposure to weathering (sun/rain) Insect Shield gear products categories include camping, patio, beach, pet, and equestrian.

Founded by brothers Peter and Paul Pinholster in the summer of 1999, Eagles Nest Outfitters, Inc. has grown from a two-man, one-van operation to a profitable company in a few short years. ENO has quickly become the leading provider of ingeniously crafted hammocks and accessories for any adventure traveler who appreciates the comforts of home.
