Cam motions and dobbies – applications and machines for frame weaving:

1781 cam motion with CARBO SPEED T6100 heald frames:
This high-speed cam motion is demonstrated with 10 CARBO SPEED T6100 heald frames. The 1781 was designed based on its proven predecessors and to meet the continuously growing demands for air-jet weaving machines.

The performance is about 10% better than previous models, depending on the numbers of frames used. The 1781 cam motion is suitable for standard weaves at a repeat length of 2 to 6 picks with up to 10 heald frames. Especially in connection with the Stäubli under-motion, the machine guarantees highest fabric quality at low production cost.

2881 electronic dobby with CARBO SPEED T6200 heald frames and CX180 for name selvedge:

The positive rotary dobby type 2881 – Stäubli's high-end dobby – shows its muscle best in conjunction with CARBO SPEED heald frames, in high-volume production. This properly balanced combination for use on air-jet looms is being displayed with 16 heald frames. CARBO SPEED heald frames, with profiles made of carbon and glass-fibre mesh, are extremely stiff and light. The T6200 uses larger profiles, eliminating the need for centre braces for frames up to 380cm wide.

Weaving preparation systems:

MAGMA warp-tying machine for coarse and medium yarn counts:
This newly introduced machine ideally complements the proven TOPMATIC models with an extended yarn range, and it incorporates several noteworthy features. The yarn separation system, which separates yarns from the lease, works without a yarn-specific separation needle. This makes adjusting the machine before tying a thing of the past. The optical system checks the separation process thread by thread, making sure no double ends will be tied.

TOPMATIC warp-tying machines:
Besides MAGMA, proven TOPMATIC is also being demonstrated at the Stäubli booth. This universal warp tying machine stands for highest quality in warp tying over the full range and down to the finest threads. The various TOPMATIC models are equipped with the unique electronic double end detection that prevents tying of double ends also when tying flat sheets.

Multilayer leasing machine OPAL for leasing a 1:1 lease in warps with up to 8 layers:
OPAL is applicable for warps with up to 12 different colours but is also useful for leasing filament warps. The yarn range extends to very fine counts, down to 30 den. OPAL can be configured to read in a 1:1 lease in the sheet from up to 8 layers, separated by separation strings.

It has a yarn-detection feature for distinguishing among colours in a layer. OPAL is mainly used in a pre-process prior to drawing-in or tying when a warp requires a 1:1 lease for one of these operations. OPAL can be seen reading a 1:1 lease into a Nylon filament warp.

DEIMO:
New Stäubli Group member DEIMO is showing servo motors, electronic control solutions, input/output devices, and related programming tools at their booth. Some of DEIMO's most modern drive elements are used in Stäubli machines.
